I have got a 1917 Brownie Box camera that I am going to attempt a series of Beauty Project shots with. I feel like by using my techiques I will be able to defy the usual flaws that a camera of this age would impose on the film.
The only question now is who is ready to jump in front of this thing?

I’m seeing a LOT of great shots out here on the web from last night’s super moon. I of course went out for some Beauty Project shooting on this epic night and the results will be coming very soon.

Unfortunately when you’re shooting with a 50-year-old camera on film there are no instant results. Instead, you shoot what you shoot, hope you get what you get and head home.

Fortunately though, I still process my own film, so while the only store in my county that actually still processes my kind of film is closed because it’s Sunday, I can still wake up and get to it.

From the looks of my first 2 rolls as they hang on the line drying it appears there was some epic shots captured last night.

I’ll get to scanning them in later when they’re dry and will post results soon….

This photo was taken during a shoot in Lancaster, Ca. We set the camera for 2 hours to record the stars before having the model stand in for the final exposure. The result is quite interesting as she became part of the Joshua Tree in the exposure. Film was Kodak TMAX 100.
